Browsing the directory itself
No account, cookie, or personal information is required to browse artists, studios, galleries, regions, programs, or guides. Canvas & Skin runs no application-level analytics, advertising tracker, or marketing cookie of any kind — nothing on this site profiles you across other websites. This is not a claim that browsing generates zero data anywhere: see "Hosting and operational logs" below for what the hosting platform itself ordinarily processes to serve any web page at all.
Theme preference
If you switch between light and dark mode, that single choice is saved in your browser's own local storage (never sent to us, never a cookie) so it's remembered on your next visit to this device.
Requesting a correction, submitting a manual profile, or claiming a profile (/corrections, /submit, /claim)
These forms ask for your name, an optional contact method, and whatever correction/profile/claim details you provide. None of the three has a server, a database, or any persistence behind it, in any deployment of this site. “Submitting” one instead prepares a real email — addressed to empowerailabs@gmail.com — from what you typed, using a plain mailto: link your own browser hands off to your own email application. This website never sees, stores, or transmits that message itself; you review it and choose whether to actually send it, using your own email provider. If your email application opens, that only means it opened — nothing is submitted to anyone until you send it yourself.
This deployment: directory-only
This deployment of Canvas & Skin is running in directory-only mode. It has no application database and no private object storage of any kind — every public page you can see (artists, studios, galleries, regions, programs, guides) is built from content compiled directly into the application, not read from a database at request time. “Let us build your profile,” reviewer accounts, and every related workflow described in some versions of this page simply don't exist as reachable features here — those routes return a real, honest “not found,” the same as any other nonexistent page.
Hosting and operational logs
Like any website, Canvas & Skin's hosting platform (Vercel) may process ordinary request information — your IP address, browser/device details, the page requested, response time — to serve pages, maintain security, and diagnose operational problems. This is standard web-hosting infrastructure behavior, not an application-level analytics or tracking system this project built or controls, and it's separate from anything described elsewhere on this page.
